The right pieces.
Working together.

A logo is one part of an identity. A layout is one part of a story. The aim is to make the parts feel considered as a whole.

01

Visual
identity

For a new name, a clearer direction or a visual system that needs consistency. The starting point is what the identity should communicate and where people will meet it.

Possible scope to discuss:

  • Wordmark or logo direction
  • Type and color relationships
  • Supporting graphic elements
  • Simple application rules and examples

Bring the name, audience, positioning and the first places the identity will appear.

Editorial
& print

For publications and printed communication that need an intentional reading experience. Hierarchy, measure and pacing help a reader see what matters and move through the material.

Possible scope to discuss:

  • Publication or brochure layout
  • Cover and opening-page direction
  • Typography and reusable page styles
  • Graphic treatments for supplied content

Bring the content, approximate length, format and any printer specifications.

03

Campaign
graphics

For a message that has to travel across more than one format. The task is to establish a recognizable visual idea while respecting the different jobs of a poster, a small graphic or a series.

Possible scope to discuss:

  • Key visual direction
  • Poster or announcement series
  • Graphic format adaptations
  • Shared hierarchy and image rules

Bring the message, required copy, formats and intended audience.

04

Packaging
direction

For a product family that needs a clear visual language. Name, category, color and supporting graphics can work together to make the range feel connected.

Possible scope to discuss:

  • Front-panel visual direction
  • Category and variant graphics
  • Label hierarchy
  • Concept mockups for discussion

Bring the product details, supplied copy, dimensions and production requirements. Manufacturing and regulatory review need explicit responsibilities.

A useful starting point

Before the
first sketch.

  1. Define the job. What needs to be communicated, to whom, and in what setting?
  2. Choose the outputs. List the formats, content and technical requirements you already know.
  3. Agree the scope. Deliverables, revisions, timing, files and fees belong in the project conversation.
